For some general guidelines, consider the sign and house placement of the planet which rules the sign on your seventh house cusp, or your descendant. The sign of your descendant is the opposite of your ascendant (for example, if you have Aries rising, your descendant is in the sign Libra, and the ruler of your seventh house is Libra's ruling planet, Venus). Here are some promising locations for romance if the ruler of your seventh is in:
Aries or First House. Your true love could be the boy or girl next door--your childhood sweetheart. They may be in a profession traditionally ruled by Aries (or Mars), such as a soldier, athlete, metalworker, surgeon, or dentist. Or you may meet at a place or event related to these or other Aries activities, such as at a football game or in the dentist's office.
Taurus or Second House. Chances are, you'll meet your mate in connection with finances and investments. This new love could be your stock broker, or the person behind you in line at the bank. Taurus also rules creative arts and crafts, so you might try your luck at some museums or craft fairs.
Gemini or Third House. You could find romance through your neighbor, your siblings, a chance phone call, or your pen pal. It's also possible you share short-term transportation with your new love, such as riding the same bus or train. Other likely spots are bookstores and libraries.
Cancer or Fourth House. You may meet your soulmate right in your own home, or through your parents or other relatives. Other prime locations for chance meetings are in supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, real estate offices, or at a farmer's market. Because of Cancer's connection with water, you might also consider making regular trips to the beach.
Leo or Fifth House. Yes, you could fall in love on a ride at Disneyland, or at some other entertainment event, such as a concert, play, movie or soccer game. If you have any, it's also possible you'll find true love through your children. If you are a teacher or student, you may meet your match through a school function.
Virgo or Sixth House. If you're willing to combine work with pleasure, you could find a mutual attraction with a co-worker, or an associate on a temporary project. It's also possible you'll meet someone new in health-related areas, such as at a chiropractor's office or a health food store. With Virgo's connection to animals, you could even meet through your pet or at an animal rights group meeting.
Libra or Seventh House. You could fall in love with your business partner, or someone they introduce you to. Or you might find Mr. or Ms. Right through a personal ad or dating service. Since Libra is a social butterfly, don't bee to quick to turn down invitations to seemingly boring social events.
Scorpio or Eighth House. Look for that intensely passionate love of your life in areas ruled by Scorpio, such as investments, insurance, and death and legacies. Scorpio is also associated with paranormal phenomenon and the occult, so you could even meet your fate at a seance. If you ever undergo counseling, be careful to avoid falling for your therapist.
Sagittarius or Ninth House. Many of the areas ruled by Sagittarius are prime locations to find romance: in college (especially law school), at a church social, on a vacation in faraway lands, or even at a foreign film or restaurant. Other good hunting grounds include events focusing on cultural diversity and exchange.
Capricorn or Tenth House. You could find true love through your career (even with your boss). Or, you may meet your mate at a prominent social gathering (especially one which is political in nature). A major point of attraction is that you share common goals and ambitions.
Aquarius or Eleventh House. You could find your soulmate with a little help from your friends (maybe even a blind date). Other likely places include computer conventions, metaphysical events (especially related to astrology), and peaceful demonstrations. Your meeting is likely to be unusual, and it may be love at first sight.
Pisces or Twelfth House. Chances are you'll meet your match through one of society's large institutions, such as a hospital, university or religious or charitable organization. It's also possible you could meet through art, music or poetry (ruled by Pisces). Or, you could meet through your (or someone else's) psychic insights.
